Our first participation at the Fête de la Science was in 2018. The main thematic of our Laboratory is Polymers Chemistry so our stand was called ‘Polymers-friends or foes?’
Not everyone knows what polymers are; and if they do, the first thing that comes to mind is PLASTIC. For this workshop, it was our goal to teach our visitors about polymer materials, their importance in our everyday lives, and our lab’s current research in this topic. For show & tell, we also included a slime-making corner. A talented team of six PhD students held the fort during an intense 3-days of energetic, chemistry-loving children (and adults too!).
